You should run memtest86 4.0a for at least three passes as this is much more demanding of the memory and will find most memory problems. I found it caused a blue-screen with the error DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION (I set up Windows' Verifier.exe to troubleshoot other crashes).
