Possible Solution 7: Try a clean boot. Exit regedit. Is alcohol called spirits due to linking of imagery? if they install then problem solved, and if they don't install, try updating your drivers with a driver update program.

Need help. That was my scenario. Put that shortcut in your startup folder and say goodbye to that annoying issue. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware of software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.
If the computer is stable in safe mode, try uninstalling any recently installed hardware drivers, performing a system restore, and scanning for malware. Receiving nothing, the system will hang as it can't resolve the conflict. If you're out there and dealing with this problem, I feel your pain. If the hard drive doesn't appear in the list at all, it's possible your hard drive has failed and can no longer be booted from.
This could happen after a minute or a few hours of work time. Can you get into safe mode? It worked.
