BSOD After Overclocking Gpu And Changing Cpu Settings
but it depends on the CPU as always... LOL. So can a computer start on fire. I agree. check over here
OP mentioned I could adjust a number to get a faster clock speed, so what benefit is there to adjusting voltage, especially given the aforementioned heat increase? He can overclock to 4.6 and I can only reach 4.4. If increase it by 5 more mhz, it would be unstable and crash during the testing stage. I will admit that it's given me a greater 3DMark Vantage score and some extra frames in certain game benchmarks, but it hasn't resulted in anything noticeable. http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/391347-bsod-after-overclocking-gpu-changing-cpu-settings.html

Apologies if I've misunderstood what you were asking. check my blog Intel CPU & GPU? To be fair, Microsoft has done an incredible job researching driver issues and coming up with ways to prevent them from happening, and the result is a much more stable Windows You may hit a point where adding voltage doesn't give you any increased OC, which means you've likely hit the maximum OC for your chip. 0x00000124

I've searched around but can't seem to find the answer, so any suggestions appreciated! this content I wanted around 3.6 but god knows what my temps will be like at that speed.x-2tha-z1.1v is pretty low for 3.6GHz on a i7-920.
You'd have to be pumping insane voltage into a CPU to get it to hard boot you (i.e you'd have to take it past thermal max). Windows 10 Blue Screen If you’re absolutely sure you’re never going to reach full or near-full CPU+GPU load, then I guess you can stick to standard, isolated stress testing. This will vary by processor make, model, and even steppings (revisions) of the same chip.If a processor is running hot, examine your case's airflow and see if there are any obstructions. Then after playing for a while on bf4 the game had a 'red transparent overlay' on it.
So Overclocking increases the voltage? What was your exact setup? Temps are a little higher than I hoped for, first core has reached 70oc, the othe three are around 67oc. When going back to the BIOS the voltage was showing as 1.2 which seemed a much better figure.
Watch your temps, repeat the process. Increasing voltage on the other hand, is what will cause higher temperatures. Some of the settings on my MB are different though. I wanted around 3.6 but god knows what my temps will be like at that speed.x-2tha-z1.1v is pretty low for 3.6GHz on a i7-920.
It really depends on if you want 1440 or 1080. You are going to want to lower the frequencies or increase the voltage until it is stable. (I wouldn't personally go higher on the voltages) Reply to jkhoward dgknozdenJun 20, 2014,
