SSD Won`t Boot (black Screen) During Windows 7 Installation
I can't find my windows 7 install/re-install CD and can't do anything with my computer after I start up because of this black screen. This system is all SATA II and I put in a 115GB SSD and cloned over the OS partition to it. If I have hurt anyone by posting twice I apologize! You really should wipe the HDD before doing the clean install. have a peek here

PS: the BIOS setting of AHCI MODE has to be set to IDE or COMPATIBLE if you use IDE drives, if you only have SATA drives, ignore this. MSI logo appears and when Windows is about to boot, nothing happens. SSD works great as i used it as a second disk with my old HDD. So the shortest SSD cable goes in the nearest available port and so on. Since the last few days whenever I start my laptop I see the Dell Inspiron logo with F2 & F12 in the bottom right corner and then it is black screen The five stage process may take a while but it might just kickstart the disk next time. Same goes with when I... If you can't get at Startup Repair, then you'll need a disk/drive that will let you boot to Startup Repair. Leaving a CD in the Drive could fool the BIOS\WIN 10 into thinking there is something there even if its a music CD. WinPE can see it.
